Colatina , officially Portuguese Município de Colatina , is a city in Espírito Santo , Brazil . The population was estimated on July 1, 2019 at 122,499 inhabitants, who live in a municipality of around 1398 km² and are called Colatinenses ( colatinenses ).
It is located on the right bank of the Rio Doce . The distance to the capital Vitória is 129 km. Neighboring communities are Pancas , São Roque do Canaã , Itaguaçu , Marilândia , Baixo Guandu , Linhares , João Neiva , Governador Lindenberg and São Domingos do Norte . The municipal territory is wavy to mountainous with heights between 40 and 600 meters, in the town center heights of 71 to 139 meters can be measured.
The city has a tropical climate (Aw) according to the Köppen and Geiger climate classification . The average temperature is 24.3 ° C. The average rainfall is 1172 mm per year.
