The Rhôny (also spelled Rhony in the lower reaches ) is a river in France that runs in the Gard department in the Occitania region . According to the official information from the French water database sandre.fr, it originates in the municipality of Langlade , near the border with the neighboring municipality of Caveirac . Other data sources see its origin north of Caveirac. The river generally drains south-west to south and flows into the Vistre as a right tributary after 21 kilometers on the south-eastern outskirts of Le Cailar .

Hydrology

At Codognan the Rhôny meets the irrigation canal Canal d'Irrigation du Bas-Rhône Languedoc (also called Canal Philippe Lamour ), water code : “---- 1502”, to which it gives up part of its water supply and on this way also to the Rhône drains.
