Rhipsalis hoelleri is a species of plant in the genus Rhipsalis from the cactus family(Cactaceae).

description

Rhipsalis hoelleri grows epiphytically and shrubby with slackly hanging mesotonic or acrotonic branching shoots of unlimited growth. The rotating shoots have a diameter of 3 to 4 millimeters.

The bright carmine-red flowers appear laterally and reach a diameter of 1 centimeter. The almost spherical fruits are red when ripe.

Systematics, distribution and endangerment

Rhipsalis hoelleri is common in the south of the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo . The first description was published in 1995 by Wilhelm Barthlott and Nigel Paul Taylor .

There is insufficient data on the threat status of Rhipsalis hoelleri in the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species .
