Rica Maase (born November 22, 1999 in Dresden ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Maase started her career in 2013 at VC Olympia Dresden , the junior team of the Dresdner SC . In the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons, the diagonal attacker played with the team in the second Bundesliga south . She already had the right to double play, also trained with the Bundesliga team, but has not yet played in the Bundesliga. For the 2017/18 season she signed a three-year contract with Dresdner SC and moved up to the Bundesliga team of Dresdner SC. In her first professional season, Maase won the cup with the Dresden club and made it to the playoff semifinals . In the 2018/19 season, she and the team were eliminated from the fight for the German championship in the playoff round of 16 . In May, Dresdner SC and Bundesliga competitor Schwarz-Weiß Erfurt announced that Maase would be loaned to Erfurt for the 2019/20 season, where the diagonal attacker should collect match practice. This loan was made possible through a collaboration between trainers Alexander Waibl and Florian Völker .
