Ricarda Musser

Ricarda Musser (born July 12, 1969 in Borna ) is a historian , Lusitanist , library scientist and head of the media department at the Ibero-American Institute in Berlin, as well as a non-fiction author .

academic career

After studying library science, lusitanistics and psychology, she received her doctorate in 2000 on librarianship in Portugal.

Her main research interests are the Literatura de Cordel , travel literature of the 18th and 19th centuries and the emigration of Germans to Latin America as well as the intercultural consequences of the stay of Brazilian students at the Leipzig Conservatory between 1847 and 1914.

Since 1998 she has been teaching regularly at the Institute for History, at the Institute for Romance Studies and in the interdisciplinary gender studies course at the Humboldt University in Berlin .
