Ricardo José da Costa Andorinho (born November 14, 1976 in Évora , Portugal ) is a former Portuguese handball player . He is 1.86 m tall and weighs 86 kg.

Andorinho, who last played for the Spanish club SDC San Antonio and played for the Portuguese national team, was mostly used on the left wing .

Ricardo Andorinho started playing handball in his hometown. At first he also played football and did judo, but later he decided entirely on handball. With his club, the Évora Andebol Club, he became Portuguese Vice Junior Champion in 1992. In 1994 he moved to Sporting Lisbon , where he also made his debut in the Portuguese first division and won the Portuguese Supercup in 1997, the Portuguese Cup in 1998 and the Portuguese Championship in 2001. After ten years with the capital club, Andorinho was signed by the Spanish top club SDC San Antonio. With the men from Pamplona he won the Spanish championship in 2005. After the 2007/08 season he left the club.

Ricardo Andorinho played over 150 international matches for the Portuguese national team . With his country he took part in the European handball championship in Croatia in 2000 and in the men's handball world championship in 2003 in his own country and took seventh place in the former and twelfth place in the latter.
