Ricardo Büttner (2015)

Ricardo Büttner (born January 22, 1976 in Leipzig ) is a German business IT specialist . He is Professor of Data Science at Aalen University .

Life

Büttner studied computer science from 1994 to 1999 (Dipl.-Informatiker) and parallel from 1996 to 2000 industrial engineering (Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing.) At the Technical University of Ilmenau , and later part-time from 2002 to 2004 business administration (Dipl.-Kfm.) at the FernUniversität Hagen .

Büttner began his professional career at BMW AG in Munich . There he started in group controlling in 2000. In 2002, he switched to marketing as a product manager and was responsible for the Z4 , Z8 and later X5 vehicle projects . In 2004 he switched to strategic development management at BMW and, as a team leader, was responsible for controlling the strategic activities of the development department and, as a strategy field manager, was responsible for the department’s personnel strategy and automotive IT strategy. In 2006 Büttner took over a department head in the BMW Group HR department and was responsible for the long-term HR strategy and HR policy for the entire BMW Group.

In addition, he did his doctorate in business informatics at the University of Hohenheim from 2003 to 2009 and has been a lecturer at the FOM - University of Economics and Management in Munich since the winter semester 2007 . In 2009 he was appointed professor for business informatics, organization and personnel at the FOM. He founded and directed the Institute of Management & Information Systems (mis), where he led a. a. the efficientRecruiting 2.0 project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research . In 2013 and 2015 he received the FOM Research Award for his research .

Büttner has been Professor of Data Science at the Faculty of Economics at Aalen University since March 2017 .
