Ricardo Balderas Ortíz (born December 15, 1981 in Mexico City ) is a former Mexican soccer player who mainly played in defensive midfield .

career

Balderas received his first professional contract with his "hometown club" UNAM Pumas , for which he only came to a twelve-minute mission (on May 2, 2004 in the 6-1 win against Tiburones Rojos Veracruz ) in the Mexican Primera División . Because of this short stint, Balderas was part of the successful Pumas team, which won the Clausura championship in 2004 under the leadership of the former world-class striker Hugo Sánchez .

After a stay abroad at Club Bolívar , he returned to the Pumas and played for their farm team Pumas Morelos in the second division .

He then played for the Uruguayan clubs Plaza Colonia and Cerro Largo FC before ending his active career at Querétaro FC in the 2010/11 season .
