Riccardo Pazzaglia

Riccardo Pazzaglia (born September 12, 1926 in Naples , † October 4, 2006 in Rome ) was an Italian author , screenwriter and film director .

Life

Pazzaglia graduated from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in 1952 and began working as an assistant director in film. Soon he was writing numerous scripts for comedies and adventure films . He also wrote numerous song texts for pieces by z. B. Domenico Modugno as well as for the Italian radio, where he a. a. worked for formats like "Radio ombra" and "L'altra radio". Pazzaglia made his debut as a director with the enjoyable comedy L'onorata società , in which Franco & Ciccio played the leading roles. Only three more works for the cinema were to follow, u. a. the underrated Farfallon , in which Franco Franchi played the parody of the Papillon hero.

In the 1980s Pazzaglia was seen as a philosophical guest in Renzo Arbor's television show Quelli della notte and was now back in demand as a screenwriter (including for Luciano De Crescenzi ), actor and director of Separati in casa 1985, in which he also played the leading role. A number of books by Pazzaglia have been published, including Il brodo primordiale (1985), La stagione dei bagni (1987) and Partenopeo in esilio (1989). He published other works until his death; some appeared posthumously.

In addition, Pazzaglia was also active in the theater and wrote some musical reviews.
