Richard Altorfer

Richard Altorfer (born January 25, 1949 ; resident in Bassersdorf ) is a Swiss doctor , publisher and politician ( FDP ).

From 1969 to 1975 Altorfer studied medicine at the University of Basel and graduated with a state examination and doctorate. From 1983 to 1998 he ran a general medical practice in Schaffhausen . Today Altorfer is the director and sole member of the board of directors of Rosenfluh Publications AG .

Altorfer was a member of the Schaffhausen Cantonal Council from 1997 to 2012 and was a member of the health commission, which he chaired from 2009-2010. He is also a member of the local Rotary Club (President 2010/2011) and is committed to animal welfare .
