Herbert Cerutti

Herbert Cerutti (* 1943 in Nesslau ) is a Swiss journalist , writer and freelance publicist .

Life

Cerutti studied at the University of Bern mathematics and physics , and in 1974 with a dissertation on solar wind measurements for doctorate in experimental physics doctorate . One year later he began his journalistic career in the service of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung . For these he worked as a science editor until 2003 with a focus on reports and background articles and reported on the subject areas of natural science , medicine and technology . From 1993 to 2008 he also wrote in the monthly magazine NZZ Folio, which is enclosed with the print edition . There, in particular, his column "Of animals" became known, in which he highlighted interesting, funny and worth knowing aspects of the fauna .

Cerutti, who was a member of the jury for the Zurich Journalism Prize in 2000 , now lives in Wolfhausen .
