Richard Armstark

Richard Armstark (* 1947 in Schärding ) is an Austrian mechanical engineer and antique dealer .

Life

Richard Armstark is a trained mechanical engineer and is qualified as an engineer . He ran an antique shop in Stuttgart , from where he returned to his hometown Schärding in 1983. There he bought a house from the 16th century on the lower town square of the town, which he converted and then moved into with his family and an antique shop and restoration workshop. He is a court expert for antiques, old and new art, applied arts, folk art as well as old and second-hand goods; he also conducts auctions. Since 2020 Armstark has appeared in the "dealer room" of the ServusTV series Bares for Rares Austria .

In 1994 he and his wife Monika founded a company for the sale of whirlpools imported from the United States , with locations in Schärding, Graz , Marchtrenk , Rankweil and Vienna . The company was inscribed in the Guinness Book of Records in 1997 for the record of 62 people in a hot tub . It has been run by the second generation since 2010.

Armstark was the chairman of the 'Unser Schärding' association from 2004 to 2019 . In 2018 he was elected chairman of the Schärding water protection association for a further four years . He is a member of the technical committee for finance of the parish St. Georg in Schärding.
