Richard Brausewetter (born February 3, 1866 in Stettin , † October 21, 1916 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German officer and writer.

Life

Richard Brausewetter was the son of a Stettin merchant and his wife Natalie Saunier (1842–1927), a granddaughter of the theater poet Louis Angely .

He joined the 1st East Prussian Foot Artillery Regiment in Königsberg as an officer candidate . He came to the War Ministry in Berlin via Ulm , Breisach and Strasbourg . During the First World War , Brausewetter was the commander of the foot artillery regiment “von Dieskau” (Silesian) No. 6 . In addition, he was also active as a writer.

Artur and Max Brausewetter were his brothers.
