Richard Edelmann
Richard Heinrich Christian Edelmann (born September 24, 1861 in Zerbst , † August 14, 1942 in Dresden ) was a German veterinary atom.
Life
Richard Edelmann studied veterinary medicine at the Dresden Veterinary School . In 1880 he became a member of the Saxo-Borussia Leipzig Landsmannschaft , later the Corps Saxonia Dresden. After completing his studies and doctorate as Dr. phil. and Dr. med. vet. he initially worked as a veterinarian. In 1896 he became director of the municipal meat inspection in Dresden and lecturer in meat inspection at the Dresden University of Veterinary Medicine. In 1902 he was appointed professor and Saxon state veterinarian. In 1913 he was appointed to the secret medical council and lecturing council for veterinary matters in the Saxon Ministry of the Interior. He taught various areas of anatomy and held dissecting exercises. In 1923, when the university was moved to the University of Leipzig, he stayed as a state veterinarian in Dresden.
