Richard Latzel

Richard Sebastian Latzel (*  1984 / 1985 in Bamberg ) is a German sports scientists and university teachers .

Life

Latzel completed a teaching degree at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg , and he also studied in the United States .

As a basketball coach, he worked, among other things, in the youth department of the Bundesliga club s.Oliver Würzburg , where Maximilian Kleber was one of his protégés. Latzel looked after Würzburg's team in the youth basketball league until 2015 . In 2017 he completed his doctoral thesis with Ralph Beneke at the Faculty of Education at the Philipps University of Marburg on the subject of "Development and connection between conditional performance factors and playing performance in German youth and professional basketball". Until 2018 he was an athletic trainer for the Bundesliga basketball team Medi Bayreuth and then a research assistant at the Deggendorf University of Technology . In September 2019, he took up a professorship with a focus on training science at the Faculty of Applied Sports Sciences there.
