Richard Paulick (born April 14, 1876 in Charlottenburg , † February 12, 1952 in Dessau ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Paulick first worked as a porcelain turner at the Königliche Porzellanmanufaktur in Berlin , then moved to Roßlau, where he devoted himself to setting up the H. Schomburg & Sons porcelain factory. He was organized in a trade union and from February 1905 to November 1918 worked as an editor for the Volksblatt für Anhalt in Dessau. His son was the future architect Richard Paulick (1903–1979).

Paulick was city ​​councilor and chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in Roßlau until 1905 . From 1912 to 1919 he was a city councilor in Dessau. From November 1918 to October 1922 he served as State Councilor of the Free State of Anhalt under Prime Ministers Wolfgang Heine and Heinrich Deist . He was a member of the Anhalt State Parliament from 1918 to 1919, briefly in 1920 and from 1924 to 1933, and from 1928 to 1932 as President of the State Parliament . He was also a paid city ​​councilor in Dessau from 1919 to 1933 .
