Richard Sunday

Richard Sonntag (born March 3, 1957 in Regensburg ) is a German journalist and event manager .

Career

After graduating from high school in 1978, Richard Sonntag studied law and in 1986 did an internship at Radio Charivari in Regensburg. At the station he headed the newsroom until the end of 1988. In 1988 he became editor-in-chief at Radio Gong . From 1990 to 1998 Richard Sonntag worked as an editor and reporter for all RTL Television information formats and reported from the war region of ex-Yugoslavia. For Center TV he worked as an author for the formats Money Trend and Handelsblatt TV and as a senior editor and producer for Cool Trend , Willy Bogner's SnowShow. He traveled with the TV team and Willy Bogner to many ski destinations around the world to show the fascination of winter sports. From 2000 to 2002, Sonntag was responsible for various Beta Business / Kirch Media formats .

Richard Sonntag also works as an event manager. In this role, he was responsible for the opening show of the Alpine Ski World Cup 2001 in St. Anton am Arlberg , the Medal Plaza of the Alpine Ski World Cup 2013 in Schladming and the annual opening shows of the Austrian Ski Association . In 2017 he produced the opening and closing ceremonies of the Special Olympics WorldWinter Games 2017 in Schladming and Graz as Executive Producer. Sunday acted as the producer for the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the award ceremonies at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019.

Richard Sonntag has been Managing Director of Sunday public media GmbH in Innsbruck since October 2015.

Richard Sonntag lives and works in Innsbruck and Munich and has a son named David.
