Richmond Tachie (born April 21, 1999 in Berlin ) is a German - Ghanaian soccer player . The offensive player is under contract with Borussia Dortmund and played once for the German U19s .

Beginnings in youth

Tachie played was trained in football at Tennis Borussia Berlin and was accepted into the youth department of Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg in 2013 at the age of 14 .

In the Wolves, he went through all age groups and was with the U17 and U19 of the club in the final round of the German B and A youth championship, but failed both times in the semi-finals. With the A-Jugend, Tachie played twenty-two times in the A-Juniors Bundesliga in the 2016/17 season , and in his second U19 year he played 21 games in the 2017/18 season , scoring sixteen goals and putting in two.

First steps in the men's area

In the summer of 2018, Tachie signed a contract until 2020 and played with the Wolves U23 in the Regionalliga Nord . The right winger was successful nine times in 22 fourth division games.

After the fourth regional league match day, VfL Tachie sold to third division promoted FC Viktoria Köln , with whom the latter received a one-year contract. In Cologne, he couldn't get past regular Kevin Holzweiler on the right wing and only completed three short and one starting eleven (one goal). After relegation, his contract was not renewed in summer 2020 and the Berliner moved to the western regional league club Borussia Dortmund II .

On April 25, 2018, Richmond Tachie played once for the German U19 national team .
