Ridgway is a borough and county seat of Elk County in the US state of Pennsylvania .
geography
Ridgway is located in the Clarion River Valley at 434 m approximately in the middle of Elk County and is completely enclosed by the Ridgway Township . It lies on both sides of the Clarion River , which here includes the Elk Creek and the Gallagher Run from the left. In the south is the State Game Lands Number 44 , a little to the west is the Allegheny National Forest and a little to the east is State Game Lands Number 25 .

US Highway 219 runs through Ridgway and leads to Johnsonburg in the northeast and Brockway in the southwest. From this branch the Pennsylvania State Route 948 to the north and the Pennsylvania State Route 120 to the east.
