The Rieder Bach , also called Schluchtgraben up to Ried , is an approximately 7.2 km long right tributary of the Mindel in the district of Günzburg . Thus it is an indirect right tributary of the Danube in Bavaria , Germany .

The Rieder Bach rises as a ravine northeast of Burtenbach . From there it flows in a northerly direction through the villages of Oberwaldbach (municipality of Burtenbach) and Ried (municipality of Jettingen-Scheppach ). The Steinrinnegraben, which rises southeast of the village on the Sandberg, flows into Oberwaldbach . To the north of Ried, another brook flows into the Rieder Bach, also coming from the south-east, which is fed by four small brooks. From the mouth of this brook, the Rieder Bach flows in a north-westerly direction to Jettingen, where it flows into the Mindel on the western edge of the village. The difference in altitude between the source north of Burtenbach and the confluence with the Mindel is 47 m.
