history
Alemannic row graves in the direction of Dottingen prove that a settlement existed on the Rietheim area early on. Rietheim was first mentioned in 1396. Berta von Seeburg then sold property in the village to Württemberg . In addition to the Seeburg rulership, the Speth were also wealthy here, and the property of both families was sold to Württemberg in 1563. After that, Rietheim belonged to the Urach Regional Office and from 1938 to the Münsingen district . As part of the municipal reform in Baden-Württemberg , the place was incorporated into Münsingen on January 1, 1975.
religion
The formerly independent Protestant parish of Rietheim , which for a long time belonged to the parish of Seeburg, was dissolved from there in 1957 and now forms a parish with Dottingen in the church district of Bad Urach-Münsingen of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg .
