The Rifugio Camillo Scarfiotti ( 2156 m slm ) is a managed refuge in the Cottian Alps in the northern Italian metropolitan city of Turin / Piedmont region . The refuge of the Club Alpino Italiano , built in 1923 and completely renovated in 1988, is located in the high valley of Rochemolles in the upper Susa valley, which belongs to the municipality of Bardonecchia .
Location and facilities
The refuge is a popular storage place for the participants of the Stella Alpina . The interior is rustic and cozy. The hut is only open in summer and offers 24 storage spaces. Dogs are not allowed.
Approach
It can be reached from Bardonecchia via an initially paved road that turns into a gravel road shortly after the hamlet of Rochemolles and the reservoir. After a few kilometers, a fork on the left leads to the Rifugio, while the main path continues to the Col de Sommeiller .
