Rita Henke

Rita Birgit Henke (born October 24, 1952 in Bitterfeld ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1990 to 2009 she was a member of the Saxon State Parliament .

Life

After completing the 10th grade at the Polytechnic High School in Bad Düben , Rita Henke attended the vocational school of the VEB Chemiekombinates Bitterfeld (CKB). She then completed an engineering degree in chemistry in Magdeburg and an additional pedagogical degree in Dessau . From 1974 to 1984 Henke was employed at the CK Bitterfeld. Then she worked as a vocational school teacher . From 1987 to 1990 Henke worked as a technical college teacher at the Institute for Home Education (IfH) Hohenprießnitz .

Mrs. Henke is Protestant, married and has three children.

Rita Henke has been a member of the CDU (East Germany) since 1982 . She was the deputy local group chairman and a member of the district council. In October 1990, Henke was elected to the Saxon state parliament via constituency 2 (Eilenburg) with 45% of the votes, to which she belonged until 2009 and thus four electoral terms. Most recently she represented the constituency of Delitzsch . In the Landtag, Henke was in all four electoral terms in the Committee for School, Youth and Sport (since the 3rd WP Committee for School and Sport), of which she was chairman in the 2nd and 3rd electoral periods, in the 1st electoral period in the special committee for Investigation of abuse of office and power as a result of SED rule, in the 3rd electoral term in the Interior Committee and in the 4th electoral term in the investigative committee of the 4th electoral term In the state elections in 2009 , she no longer stood as a candidate and therefore left the state parliament in September 2009.

Between 1990 and 2005 she was a member of the district council and parliamentary group leader. From 1997 to 2005 Rita Henke was a member of the CDU state executive and from 1992 to 2008 deputy district chairwoman of the CDU Delitzsch. Since 1993 she has been chairwoman of the CDU city association in Bad Düben . Rita Henke is the deputy chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group.
