The River Lee ( Irish : An Laoi ) is a river in the Republic of Ireland in County Cork . It rises west of Gougane Barra and then flows about 55 km east to Cork , where it forms Cork Harbor before flowing into the Celtic Sea . Even before Cork, the Lee, together with other rivers, feeds the Iniscarra Reservoir , where there are several hydroelectric power stations.
