The Rivière Bujeault (the section of the river in Newfoundland and Labrador is called the Bujeault River ) is a left tributary of the Rivière Saint-Paul in the Canadian provinces of Québec and Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Rivière Bujeault has its origin on the provincial border in Lake Lac Tshipashit (name in Newfoundland and Labrador: Indian Pond ) at an altitude of 308 m . He leaves the lake on its southwestern shore. It initially flows a short distance to the northwest and then makes a turn and then flows towards the south-southwest. In the upper reaches the river crosses the provincial border several times. The Rivière Bujeault maintains its course in the far east of the administrative region of Côte-Nord in Québec. It takes the Rivière du Nord-Ouest on the right and the Rivière du Nord-Est on the left, flows through the Lac Maxwell and finally flows into the Rivière Saint-Paul about 20 km north of the settlement Rivière- Saint-Paul. There are several rapids along the river. The Rivière Bujeault has a length of 71 km. It drains an area of 1227 km². The mean discharge is 26 m³ / s.
The river was named after Pierre-Alain Bujeault (or Bugeauld) (~ 1668– ~ 1707), a royal notary in Acadia.
