The Rivière La Sarre is a tributary of Lac Abitibi in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue administrative region in the far west of the Canadian province of Québec .

The Rivière La Sarre forms the outflow of the Lac Macamic . He leaves it on its north bank. The Rivière La Sarre flows 20 km in a westerly direction before turning south, past the small town of La Sarre to the west and finally flowing into the Baie La Sarre at the eastern end of the lake of Lac Abitibi. The river has a length of 42 km. It drains an area of ​​1919 km². The mean discharge is 31 m³ / s.

Hydro-Abitibi operates two run-of-river power plants (La Sarre-1 with 1 MW; La Sarre-2 with 0.8 MW) on the river.

The river was named after the La Sarre regiment .
