The Rivière Sérigny is a left tributary of the Rivière Caniapiscau in the Canadian province of Québec .
The river has its origin 30 km north of the Réservoir de Caniapiscau in the center of the Labrador Peninsula . It flows first in a north-northwest direction, later in a northeast direction. It flows through a number of lakes, which mostly represent widening of the actual river: Lac Villanceaux , Lac Vaudrey , Lac Askunach Kaapich , Lac Shirley , Lac Chipisipi Anatwayach . The Lac Sérigny lake , whose outflow flows into the river, is located a few kilometers south of the river. The lower reaches of the Rivière Sérigny runs parallel to the Rivière Pons, which flows further north . The Rivière Sérigny river has a length of about 190 km. It flows into the Rivière Caniapiscau 240 km south of Kuujjuaq .
After the lake of the same name was given its current name in 1944, the neighboring river was also named after Joseph Le Moyne de Sérigny (1668–1734), a French naval officer who took part in the military expedition to Hudson Bay, in 1968 .
