The Rivière Valin is a left tributary of the Rivière Saguenay in the Canadian province of Québec .
The river has its source 30 km northeast of Saguenay in the mountain range of the Monts Valin . It initially flows south, then turns west and flows through a swamp area with numerous meanders . The upper reaches are located within the Parc national des Monts-Valin . The Rivière Saint-Louis flows into the river on the right. This continues its course mainly in a southerly direction. The Rivière Valin finally flows into the Rivière Saguenay between Chicoutimi and Saint-Fulgence at its confluence with the Saguenay Fjord. At the mouth, Route 172 crosses the Rivière Valin. The river has a length of 56 km. It drains an area of 756 km². The mean discharge at the mouth is 23 m³ / s.
