The Rivière du Peuplier ( French for " poplar river") is a tributary of the James Bay in the Jamésie in the west of the Canadian province of Québec .

The Rivière du Peuplier rises 65 km south of Radisson . It flows westwards over its entire route. It flows through Lake Kaychikwapichu and then crosses the Route de la Baie James . The Chemin de Wemindji cul- de- sac crosses the river about 35 km downstream . Finally, the Rivière du Peuplier flows into James Bay 25 km south of Wemindji . The Rivière du Peuplier has a length of 119 km. It drains an area of ​​1264 km².
