Process of the Great Fountain

The Roßbach rises north of Partenstein on the southern slope of the Gaulskopf (519 m) from the Großenbrunnen , which is used for the drinking water supply . The brook flows from the overflow of the well room . Further down the valley there are additional sources.

The Roßbach initially flows in a south-westerly direction, then bends south and reaches Partenstein. In the place it is completely piped. It emerges again on the B 276 and flows through a walled channel along a side street. The Roßbach flows into the Lohr at the village's sports fields .
