Lina Meyer (born July 24, 1984 in Marburg , now Lina Hummel ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Meyer began her career in 1997 at USC Konstanz . From 2002 to 2004, the native of Hesse played in Switzerland for VBC and VC Kanti Schaffhausen and achieved second place in both the national cup competition and the league. Then she went to SV Lohhof . In the 2005/06 season Bayern were champions of the second division. Meyer switched to the Allgäu Team Sonthofen , with whom she made promotion to the Bundesliga in her first season . Since she had the second best value in the league's point statistics, the outside attacker was also used in the German national team at a tournament in Yekaterinburg in summer 2010 . The following season was unsuccessful and ended with relegation. However, Meyer received a new contract with the first division club Rote Raben Vilsbiburg and took over the role of team captain again. In 2012 she reached the German Cup final and the semi-finals of the Bundesliga play-offs with Vilsbiburg . She then moved to the Regionalliga Südost for FTM Schwabing , with which she was promoted to the third division in 2013. In 2014 she returned to the second division Allgäu Team Sonthofen. After moving to Lake Constance, she played for two years for SV Bohlingen in the major league, alongside work and family , before moving to USC Konstanz, where her volleyball career began. Here she won the championship of the Oberliga Baden in 2019 and was promoted to the Regionalliga Süd.
