Rob Brown (born March 11, 1984 in Harlem , New York City ) is an American actor .

Rob Brown grew up in Brooklyn , New York. There he graduated from the Poly Prep Country Day School in 2002.

By starring in Forrester - Found! at the side of Sean Connery , the young actor stepped into the spotlight in 2000. He had no stage experience when he accepted the role. Rob Brown applied for this when he was trying to make extra cash to pay a $ 300 cell phone bill. After a few recalls, he received the role, for which he later received high praise from director Gus Van Sant and won the Young Artist Award and the Las Vegas Film Critics Society Award . For his role as trumpeter Delmond Lambreaux in the HBO series Treme (2010/12) he was coached by jazz trumpeter Nabaté Isles .

Brown graduated from Amherst College , Massachusetts, where he played football and graduated in 2006.
