Robbie Kerr (born September 26, 1979 in High Wycombe ) is a retired British racing driver .

Career

Robbie Kerr started his career in karting in 1991 . In 1997 he became champion of the British Formula First . In 1998 he drove in the British Formula Renault Championship. In 1999 and 2000 he could be seen in the Formula Palmer Audi ; he achieved his best result in 2000 when he was third overall. In 2001 he entered the British Formula 3 championship and won the national class . In 2002 he became British Formula 3 champion. In 2003 he competed again at a British Formula 3 race weekend and also drove a race in the Porsche Supercup .

After a brief stint in Formula 3000 , also in 2003 , Kerr contested nine races in the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup , one of which he won. In the following years he became one of the main pillars of Team Great Britain in the new A1GP championship, in which he competed regularly from 2005 to 2008 and achieved three victories. In 2005 he immediately achieved victory in a one-time appearance in the 3000 Pro Series , in 2006 he also drove with moderate success in the Formula Renault 3.5 . In 2007 he made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans , where he celebrated second place in the LMP2 class. From 2004 to 2009, Kerr also sporadically competed in the Le Mans Series . In 2011 he was in the SPEED EuroSeries and thus still active in prototype sport.

Kerr also acted as test driver for the British Litespeed F3 team in winter 2008/2009 .
