Robert Anthony Schuller

Robert Anthony Schuller (born October 7, 1954 in Blue Island , Illinois ) is an American (television) pastor and non-fiction author .

Live and act

Schuller grew up in California and graduated from Hope College in Holland , Michigan . During his childhood and adolescence he took an active part in the community life of the Garden Grove Community Church , led by his father Robert Schuller , which later became known as the Crystal Cathedral .

After ordination , in 1981 he organized the Rancho Capistrano Community Church in San Juan Capistrano , California, south of the Crystal Cathedral . During these years there he laid the foundation of the Possibility Living Ministries , whose focus is a lifestyle that is centered on Jesus Christ and whose focus is on mind, body and spirit and founded the Rancho Capistrano School in 1992 . In 1985, he was from the The National Hispanic University in California's San José the honorary doctorate awarded for his charity work in Mexico. From 1995 to 1999 he hosted the one-hour radio show Balanced for Life with a program focused on healing and wellbeing.

On January 22, 2006, Schuller became the second senior pastor of the Crystal Cathedral ward to succeed his father. In this position he was also the international television service Hour of Power , where he was seen since 1976. On November 29, 2008, however, he resigned as preacher of the congregation due to differences of opinion within the church. Schuller then became chairman of the new company Comstar Media, Home of Family Programming , which manages two cable TV networks, you too tv and Family Net .

As a successful author, Schuller has written a number of books, including the bestselling Dump Your Hang Ups, Without Dumping Them On Others . He wrote one of his books together with Dr. Douglas DiSiena - it is titled Possibility Living - Add Years to your Life and Life to your Years with God's Health Plan (in German life in possibilities - add years to your life and life to your years, with God's health plan ).

Personal

Schuller divorced in 1984 and married his current wife, Donna, in 2007. The couple have four children, including their son Bobby Schuller, and live in Laguna Beach, California .
