Robert Alott
Robert Alott , actually Robert Kronawetter (born October 22, 1850 in Graz , † November 17, 1910 in Vienna ), was an Austrian landscape and genre painter from the Düsseldorf School .
Life
From 1868 to 1873 Alott studied at the Vienna Art Academy . Then he went to Düsseldorf , where he was influenced by Oswald Achenbach's landscape painting. As a painter of genre-like landscapes as well as city and historical motifs, he was mainly active in Austria and Italy. But he also traveled to Belgium and North Africa, particularly Tunisia. His works, which he exhibited in Budapest, Munich, Berlin, Düsseldorf and Paris, date between 1874 and 1907.
