Robert Desmond Meikle
Robert Desmond Meikle (born May 18, 1923 in Newtownards , County Down , Northern Ireland ) is a British botanist . Its official botanical author's abbreviation is " Meikle ".
Live and act
Meikle worked on the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew . His two-volume Flora of Cyprus (1977 and 1985) is an important compilation of the plant species originating from Cyprus around 1750 . Meikle is editor of the Draft index of author abbreviations compiled at the Herbarium, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (1980).
