Robert Estrin

Robert "Bob" L. Estrin (born March 3, 1942 in Lakewood , New Jersey ) is an American film editor .

Life

His first job as a film editor was a film about the photographer Imogen Cunningham in 1970 . After working on a few documentaries, the first feature films followed such as Bill McKay - The Candidate (1972), Badlands - Zerschossene Träume (1973) and Memory of Us (1974).

After various short films and documentaries, Estrin was again increasingly responsible for the editing of feature films from 1988 onwards. He was involved in the production of the feature films Colors - Colors of Violence (1988), Internal Affairs - Trust Him, He's a Cop (1990) and From the Middle A River (1992).

His last work was in 1995 editing for Mira Nair's comedy film The Perez Family .

Estrin's sister Sandra Adair also works as a film editor. In the 1980s they worked together on a few projects.

Awards

For his editing of the documentary Creation of the Universe , Estrin was nominated for an Eddie Award by the American Cinema Editors in 1985.
