Robert Forster-Larrinaga (* 1880 ; † July 2, 1932 in Berlin ) was a German actor and assistant director who worked in some silent films in the early 1920s .

Life

Forster-Larrinaga initially worked as a theater actor and played, among other things, the role of "Count" in the world premiere of Arthur Schnitzler's stage work Reigen on December 3, 1920 in the Kleiner Schauspielhaus in Berlin . The incidental music he composed for it was published by Heiki Verlag Berlin in 1921 and was played on gramophone records by well-known orchestras of the time.

He made his debut as a film actor in the 1920 film directed by Carl Froelich Die Kwannon von Okadera with Max Adalbert , Albert Bennefeld and Lil Dagover in the lead roles. The drama Kämpfende Herzen (alternative title Vier um die Frau , 1921) by Fritz Lang with Carola Toelle , Hermann Boettcher and Ludwig Hartau was one of the better-known silent films in which he took part . He played his last film role in 1922 in the film Dr. Mabuse, the player alongside Rudolf Klein-Rogge , Aud Egede-Nissen and Gertrude Welcker .

He worked as an assistant director and dialogue director on the musical comedy Ein blonder Traum (1932) by Paul Martin with Lilian Harvey , Willy Fritsch and Willi Forst . The actor, director, writer and musician fell seriously ill and died on July 2, 1932 at the age of 52 of pneumonia.
