Robert Froriep
Robert Friedrich Froriep (born February 21, 1804 in Jena , † June 15, 1861 in Weimar ) was a German anatomist and pathologist . He was the father of the anatomist August von Froriep (1849–1917).
Robert Froriep, son of the gynecologist and university professor Ludwig Friedrich von Froriep , studied medicine at the University of Bonn . From 1833 he was a prosector at the Charité in Berlin. At the University of Berlin he worked as a professor of pathology. He was also a medical advisor in the scientific deputation of the Ministry of Medical Affairs. In 1846 he became director of the Landes-Industrie-Comptoirs in Weimar.
