Robert Galic (* 1973 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German musician , producer and DJ .

Life

From 1994 Robert Galic studied bass and percussion at Thames Valley University in London and at the School of Oriental and African Studies (London University) ethnomusicology and anthropology .

In 1997 he founded the Rhythmic Altered State (RAS) project during his studies . From the original one-man project, a band developed in Berlin that included Wunmi, Salim Ajanku, Christian Weidner and Vido Jelashe . With this band he toured Europe for two years and produced the album Rhythmic Altered State . In 2002 the album was released by the Berlin label Sonar Kollektiv, run by Jazzanova . The piece Do Your Dance was remixed by Dixon and Osunlade , among others . After the album numerous own remixes followed , such as for De Phazz , Re: jazz , Bokuvina , Dom Um Romao and Banda Favela .

In 2004 Robert Galic founded the DJ and producer team Turmspringer with Tim Brüggemann . In 2005 he founded Tonkind , a record label for electronic music in Berlin .

He works with Ian O'Brien , Dom Um Romão and Christian Weidner , among others , and has been producing under the pseudonym Edgar Peng since 2006 .
