Robert Graf von Zedlitz-Trützschler (1863–1942)

Karl Konstantin Friedrich Eduard Robert Graf von Zedlitz and Trützschler (born August 16, 1863 in Nieder-Großenborau, Freystadt i. Lower Silesia , today Borów Wielki, Nowe Miasteczko municipality ; † July 12, 1942 in Breslau ) was a German administrative officer and author .

Life

Robert Graf von Zedlitz-Trützschler was a son of the Prussian Minister of Education of the same name, Robert von Zedlitz-Trützschler, and his wife Agnes, née von Rohr-Levetzow . His younger sister was the resistance fighter Ruth von Kleist-Retzow .

Zedlitz-Trützschler served twelve years at the imperial court in Berlin, first from 1898 as personal adjutant to Joachim Albrecht, Prince of Prussia , then from 1903 to 1910 as court marshal to Kaiser Wilhelm II .

He processed his memories of this time in a book of the same name, which had several editions and was also translated into English and French.

He married Olga Bürgers on February 21, 1899 in Berlin (* October 1, 1876; † March 24, 1969). The couple had several children:

  • Friedrich-Carl Robert (born June 28, 1901; † September 1, 1999) ⚭ 1927 (divorced before 1938) Nobile Maria Teresa Brentano -Grosse (born November 30, 1902; † July 27, 1978)
  • Carl Eduard Konstantin (December 17, 1915 - July 27, 1941)
