Robert Hartmann (painter)

Robert Hartmann (* 1949 in Seßlach , Upper Franconia in Bavaria ) is a German painter .

Life

Hartmann studied from 1967 to 1969 at the Werkkunstschule Würzburg and from 1969 to 1974 (with KO Götz , Joseph Beuys and Ole John Pouvlsen ) at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf , where he graduated from the master class. Between 1969 and 1973 he took part in the actions and publications of the artist group YIUP . Together with Werner Reuber and Ulrike Zilly , he founded the artist group “ Die Langheimer ” in 1982 . Together they produce works of art, do campaigns, exhibitions, artist books and films. Robert Hartmann was a member of the German Association of Artists and is chairman of the “Malkasten” artists' association . "In 2014, he was appointed scientific member of the China National Academy of Painting in Beijing. He lives in Düsseldorf.
