Robert Muir Holme , partly also Bob Holme (born June 6, 1969 in Denver ) is a former American ski jumper .
Career
Holme made his international debut as part of the Ski Jumping World Cup on December 9, 1989 in Lake Placid . However, he clearly missed a success. Also in the following year he did not win any points on the same hill. At the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville , he was part of the US team and competed in all three competitions. In the individual competition on the normal hill he finished 51st before he finished 36th on the large hill together with his compatriot Bryan Sanders . In the team competition he reached twelfth place together with Sanders as well as Jim Holland and Ted Langlois . Even before the games he started in the newly created Ski Jumping Continental Cup due to a lack of World Cup success and achieved 59th place overall with 11 points in his first season. In the following season 1992/93 he did not make the breakthrough in this series.
A year later he joined the Nordic World Ski Championships 1993 in Sweden Falun , reaching the seats 51 and 32. In the 1993/94 season started Holme again in the Continental Cup, winning a total of 119 points, which earned him the end rank 60 overall .
He played his last international tournament when he started at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer . Here, too, the now 24-year-old did not achieve outstanding results. So he landed 35th on the normal hill and 50th on the large hill.
After his playing career, Holme settled in Winter Park , where he became the head coach of the local snowboard team.
