Robert Jager

Robert Jager (* 25. August 1939 in Binghamton in the US state of New York ) is an American composer , music teacher and conductor .

From 1962 to 1965 he was arranger in the US Navy Armed Forces School of Music . He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1968 . He then went on to teach composition and conducting at Old Dominion University in Norfolk , Virginia . In 1971 he was appointed professor at the Technological University of Tennessee in Cookeville .

He has received numerous prizes and awards for his work. Since 1980 he has been a member of the ABA (American Bandmaster Association). He is in demand as a guest conductor and lecturer at conferences and workshops in Canada , Europe , Japan and in many cities in the United States of America.
