Robert Jaffé (born January 24, 1894 in Voxtrup , † February 21, 1968 in Harderberg ) was a German engineer , farmer and politician ( DP ).

Life and work

After attending the humanistic grammar school in Osnabrück , Jaffé studied mechanical engineering at the Humboldt University in Berlin . From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War as a soldier . He then continued his studies at the Technical University of Hanover , which he finished in 1921 with the examination as a graduate engineer. During the period of National Socialism he was subjected to reprisals, was briefly imprisoned in 1944 and had to do forced labor. Later he worked as a farmer.

Jaffé joined the Lower Saxony State Party (NLP) after the Second World War , from which the German Party (DP) later emerged. Within the party, he held the office of deputy district chairman for Osnabrück. He was a member of the German Bundestag from January 9, 1952, when he replaced the resigned MP Carl von Campe , until the end of the first legislative period in 1953. He was drawn into parliament via the Lower Saxony state list. Jaffé was a full member of the budget committee and the special committee that advised the laws on German foreign debt.
