Robert Lestienne

Robert Henri Charles Lestienne (born September 8, 1892 in Nantua , † August 19, 1944 ) was a French racing driver .

Career

Robert Lestienne was the younger brother of Waldemar Lestienne , who was a senior engineer at the French motor vehicle manufacturer Corre-La Licorne . Firmin Lestienne, the father of Waldemar and Robert, took over Automobiles Corre in 1907 and made it Corre-La Licorne.

In the 1920s, Robert Lestienne competed in sports car races for the family-owned company . He competed three times in the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race and once in the Le Mans 24-hour race . In 1924 he finished the race in Spa on the side of Fernand Vallon in 10th place in the overall standings. At Le Mans in 1925 he finished ninth overall with his brother.
