Robert "Bob" Millar (FIFA lists him on its official website under the spelling Bob Miller ) (born May 12, 1890 in Paisley , Scotland ; † February 22, 1967 in Staten Island , USA ) was an American football player and - trainer of Scottish descent.

Club career

Millar was active at the club level from 1909 to 1929 for numerous teams. He started his career in his native Scotland with FC St. Mirren , which he left for his new home in 1911.

National team

The striker was also a member of the United States national soccer team . For this he completed two internationals in 1925, in each of which Canada was the opponent.

Trainer

After his active career, he worked as a coach and, among other things, looked after the US national team at the first soccer World Cup in 1930 .

Millar was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 1950.
