Robert Pappert

Robert Pappert (born February 12, 1930 in Hausen (Obertshausen) , † March 20, 2010 in Obertshausen ) was a German composer .

Life

Robert Pappert received training from 1941 to 1950 at the Offenbach am Main Conservatory , with Karl Hartmann in Frankfurt am Main and at the Institute for Church Music in Mainz . There he passed his exams as a choir director and organist .

He was the founder and artistic director of the Hausen Chamber Choir, with which he won first prizes at international choir competitions in Arezzo , Gorizia and Tolosa . This choir disbanded in 1998. Competitions, festivals and concert tours to Europe, North and South America and Asia influenced his compositional activity. He wrote his compositions for all types of choir and for choirs of various qualifications. Robert Pappert was the leader of the vocal ensemble Die Nutcrackers . They appeared from 1955 to 1964 as a double quartet and until 1972 as a quartet, as a soloist in record productions and as a background choir, and took part in television productions.

He has worked as a juror in national and international choir competitions. He was a member of the Association of German Professional Choir Directors. The conductor of youth, women, men and mixed choirs is the composer of around 1400 pieces of choral music.
