Robert Paul (athlete)

Robert Paul (born April 20, 1910 in Biganos , † December 15, 1998 ) was a French long jumper and sprinter .

In 1934 he was fourth in the long jump at the European Athletics Championships in Turin and won silver in the 4 x 400 meter relay with the French team . Over 100 m he reached the semi-finals.

At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, he was eighth in the long jump . Over 100 m and in the 4 x 100 meter relay , he was eliminated in the preliminary run.

Six times he was French champion in the long jump (1931-1936), three times over 100 m (1934-1936), twice in the triple jump (1937, 1938) and once over 200 m (1933). In 1934 and 1935 he was the English champion in the long jump.
