Robert Piller (born July 2, 1950 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
In his youth, the midfielder played for FV Sportfreunde Neuhausen. In 1975 Robert Piller moved from SV Göppingen to SSV Reutlingen 05 , who had previously been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga South . In the second division season 1975/76 Piller scored a goal in 25 season operations and rose at the end of the season with the SSV. He was with Reutlingen in the 1976/77 season in the 1st amateur league Black Forest-Bodensee champion and Württemberg amateur champion. Following the renewed championship in the Black Forest-Bodensee League in 1977/78 , Robert Piller had no success with the SSV in the promotion round, as in the previous year. After this season he returned to SV Göppingen. In the 1978/79 season , Piller took third place in the top scorer list of the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg with 19 goals for Göppingen . He then moved to SC Freiburg in 1979 . At the end of the second division season 1980/81 he qualified with the Freiburg team for the new single-track 2. Bundesliga. By the end of the 1982/83 season , Robert Piller had scored 16 goals in a total of 138 second division games for SC Freiburg.
From 1996 to 1998 Piller was head coach of the first team of his training club FV Sportfreunde Neuhausen. Later he started working as a scout at SC Freiburg.
